DAY 1: ARUSHA/MOSHI – MARANGU GATE – MANDARA HUT

Your adventure begins with pickup from Arusha or Moshi and transfer to Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After registration and final checks, begin your trek through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,700 m). Tonight’s hut stay with fellow climbers makes this route uniquely social.

DAY 2: MANDARA HUT – HOROMBO HUT

Trek upward through forest and heath zones with panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s slopes. Pass the transition zone into moorland before arriving at Horombo Hut (3,720 m) — your base for the next two nights.

DAY 3: ACCLIMATIZATION DAY AT HOROMBO HUT

DAY 4: HOROMBO HUT – KIBO HUT

DAY 5: SUMMIT DAY – KIBO HUT – UHURU PEAK – HOROMBO HUT

Summit day starts around midnight with headlamps lighting the steep ascent. Trek through scree and snowfields to reach Stella Point (5,685 m) on the crater rim at sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) — the highest point in Africa.

After celebration and photos, descend back down to Horombo Hut for a well‑earned rest.
